Roses, thorns and everything in between January 24 2015
"Some people grumble that roses have thorns;
I am grateful that thorns have roses."
- Alphonse Karr, A Tour Round My Garden
My struggles creating unusual and beautiful glass pieces have been well documented here.
Almost daily I cut or stab myself with a shard of glass. Band aids are now my most frequently worn accessory. I have become fond of my band aids because they remind me that I have been touring round my garden of glass.
Always, I hope to come up with roses. But I don't, always. Sometimes I just come out with thorns. But I always believe the roses are there somewhere.
I hope you find lots of roses in the thorns in the coming year.
You will find the "Lunch plate - Red rose" here.
