Platter - Daisy, daisy
The daisy platter conjures up visions of spring and wild flowers swaying in the breeze. Perfect for serving almost anything, this platter is also a stunner just left out on display.

I suggest that you wash all Glass by Charis by hand. It is food safe.
Putting it in the microwave is not recommended.
Size: 14" x 9.5" (.75" deep)
How it was created: The "Daisy, daisy" platter was created by laying one rectangle of clear glass on the kiln shelf and topping it with pieces of transparent brown and yellow glass. I then cut petals out of white opaque glass and arranged then on top. Hand-crushed opaque glass was used to create the centre of the flowers. The piece was then fused in the kilnfor a day, more petals were added and fused for another day and then slumped in an 14"x9.5" rectangular mold. This piece was in the kiln for three days.
My process often adds bubbles in the glass and no piece is perfectly round or square, adding to its appeal.
Fusing glass, often in several layers, results in items that may seem surprisingly heavy when first unpacked.
